Sometimes in the lower right corner you can see a red dot.
If you touch it, a profile opens and another one appears the red dot on Instagram in the upper left corner (next to name).
What does the red dot on Instagram mean?
This is a new type of notification of new messages.
If you click on the nickname next to the red dot, it will open list of accounts, and above avatars – the number of unread messages.
To remove the red dot, go to direct and open dialogs with unread messages (do not forget about requests for correspondence).
A red dot will be displayed on all accounts until until you read all of the new posts on each of them.
Why the red dot does not disappear, even though I read everything messages?
There is such a problem. The function is new and unstable. At me, too, on two accounts hangs a red dot with numbers.
When the problem is fixed is unknown.
